These illustrations/collection of stamps were created to the "Shoe me again" contest which proposed to the participants that they create new narratives and looks about footwear.
The idea of this project is to relate footwear to the popular Portuguese culture. One of the major great heritages is precisely the proverbs and popular expressions. In this way, two expressions and four Portuguese proverbs were illustrated and thus created this collection of stamps.
 "Sapato branco em Janeiro, sinal de pouco dinheiro" meaning "white shoes in January is a sign of little money" |  "Todo o sapato lindo dá em chinelo velho" meaning "Every beautiful shoe turns into an old slipper" |  "Bater a bota" portuguese expression, literal translation is " Beat the boot" meaning 'to die'. |  "Mais vale gastar sapatos do que lençóis" saying meaning " It is better to wear out shoes than sheets" |
